About The Centre
Mensalus is a private institute that takes care and aims to give you a solution to these difficulties and has over twenty years of experience.
We are formed from a multidisciplinary team of professionals where psychological and psychiatric assistance is offered. Professionalism and approachability are two of the main qualities that make the centre stands out.
This professional team has a high level of professional expertise with the most effective treatments to get the best outcomes in psychological problems and / or psychiatric conditions in all age groups: children, adolescents, and adults in either individual or family and marital approaches.
Mensalus offers you a primary general assessment which is of no charge and then a range of therapies to discuss your main issues and to establish a suitable therapeutic approach in English, which may be your first language.
Our aim is to create a friendly and compassionate atmosphere in our therapeutic style that has an eclectic approach to psychotherapy. This means that a balance of the different major types of therapy (cognitive and behavioral approaches (CBT), constructivism, supportive, group psychotherapy, and others) is employed to fit with what each individual requires in order to achieve the goals set in the therapy sessions.
Not forgetting the importance of a safe, confidential space to talk, explore, heal and grow and to help you understand your areas of difficulty, to gain relief from present symptoms and to develop resources to cope with your own abilities in the future.
Clients/patients are always treated professionally, and the work at hand in the care of these persons and their issues is taken extremely seriously.
The most common feelings for those living abroad may be:
Those who find the challenges of living in a different country overwhelming.
Those who miss their friends and family back home.
Those who leave their home country to resolve difficulties they have had, only to find that after a short period of time abroad, these problems have become worse.
Those who have difficulties related to work, such as finding a job, especially for non-Spanish speakers, or living with the day to day reality of a job that you probably would not be doing if you were back in your home country.
Those who feel that the quality of their lives could be improved by overcoming psychological obstacles.
